As a small way of helping some of the thousands of New York performers during the covid pandemic photographer Giles Clement and performer/producer Kyla Ernst-Alper have created a series of postcards with a few of the very best dancers, clowns, burlesque personalities and aerialists in the city. Proceeds from the sale of the postcards and prints are split with the artists to help ensure that when this is all over, they’re able to go back to their work of making the world a brighter place.
Each image is available as a limited edition print and all ten are available as a set of gorgeous postcards. You can make a purchase through the prints page

Aerialists & Acrobats at City Point
Artists in Residence January - August 2021
City Point has generously donated the BKLYN Studios space to support these furloughed artists, helping to keep the performing arts culture of New York City alive and performers ready to go back to work the moment it is legal to do so.
When Broadway shut down, so did all of the smaller shows, nightclubs, and cabarets. Ticketed performances, even those held outdoors, were banned until April 2, 2021. Training spaces closed down, and sadly a number are now permanently closed. During the warm weather, performers trained in city parks and open-air spaces. Winter brought a new set of challenges, especially the need for indoor rehearsals.
This residency gives the participating artists time and space to continue their work, albeit unpaid, with donations via @kygwen on venmo used to support participating artists and operational expenses, including providing grants to cover required individual insurance. We invite the public to take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to watch us train (schedule above). The artists will be inside BKLYN Studios, and the viewers will be in the ground floor City Point passageway.
Many of the artists participating in this residency teach classes and perform online, and for COVID-safe events and productions. If you are interested in hiring a performer for your event or to teach a class, reach out to us through our email, or find direct links to artists on their bio pages below.
